About BrainFUS Atlas
BrainFUS Atlas is a comprehensive bioinformatics platform designed to accelerate discovery and translation in focused ultrasound (FUS)-based brain therapies. As FUS applications rapidly expand—from blood-brain barrier opening and targeted drug delivery to neuromodulation and sonobiopsy—the resulting literature has become vast, heterogeneous, and difficult to navigate. BrainFUS Atlas addresses this challenge by systematically curating and organizing data from 353 published studies across human and animal models.
The platform integrates key acoustic parameters, targeting strategies, and safety considerations with corresponding biological and behavioral outcomes, enabling rigorous comparison across studies. With an intuitive web interface, interactive visualizations, and brain-region mapping, BrainFUS Atlas allows researchers to identify trends, assess reproducibility, and design optimized, evidence-based protocols.
By unifying disparate datasets into a single, accessible resource, BrainFUS Atlas supports cross-disciplinary collaboration and lays the groundwork for data-driven optimization and next-generation, noninvasive brain therapies.
